Thermal Technology Helps Combat Virus

As businesses return to work in the weeks and months ahead, they will be looking for ways to protect their employees. Innovation has come in the form of thermal technology that could help minimise the impact of the virus. This technology could be available to you for as little as €35 per week.

High Temperatures

High temperatures are one side effect of the virus and identifying those affected could be key. It will not be practical to use a traditional thermometer on every person entering a building when the numbers are significant. In fact, to undertake such a task would itself bring issues around contact, cross infection not to mention the time and inconvenience this would cause.

Thermal Technology

This new technology from global leader Dahua can measure the body temperature of large groups of people and report on the results. The unit will be placed in a key area and will actively measure temperatures of the people passing through at every stage during the day. It has the potential of giving the temperature readings of thousands of people daily.

The initial product was sent to China in January of this year and has now been deployed around the world and is in place on thousands of sites globally.

Efficient Method

This thermal technology solution measures the temperature of large groups of people as they enter or move around an area. To put it into context, to measure the temperature of 5,000 people using a traditional thermometer would take over 4 hours, this system should take only half an hour.

Highly accurate, it will measure from 3 metres away and can read up to 30 faces concurrently. It is designed for large groups of people and so has a 1.5 metre field of view. Using such a system in a work environment will give the employees peace of mind and contribute to keeping them healthy.

The speed and accuracy of the method is what makes it so attractive. The fact that it is a contactless method is also a huge benefit.
