Automatic barriers can act as the first line of defence for a property and are widely used in car parks, business industrial estates, shopping centres, residential estates, construction sites and many more. The aim is to limit access to the site to only those that are authorised to do so or to manage traffic flow into an area. Automatic barriers can exist as standalone automated barriers or can be integrated with access control systems also installed by TEC Security.

FAAC B680H Automatic Barrier System

TEC Security install the FAAC B680H, a highly versatile and reliable automatic barrier with a wide range of applications. Powered by an innovative 24V hydraulic hybrid motor rated for continuous use, it supports boom lengths from 2m to 8m and offers adjustable opening speeds, including rapid opening in just 1.5 seconds with a 2m boom. 

Multiple boom configurations are available, such as low skirts to prevent climbing underneath, high/low skirts to prevent climbing over or under, and an articulated boom option ideal for lowceiling installations like car parks and garages. 

Safety is paramount, with an integrated encoder that triggers reversal when an obstacle is detected. For enhanced non-contact protection, the FAAC X-GUARD H barrier laser can be added, increasing pedestrian and vehicle safety around the boom area. 

The onboard control panel includes two loop inputs—Loop 1 for opening commands and Loop 2 for safety and closing functions. The setup can be further customised with cabinet traffic lights or boom lighting. A stainless-steel cover is available for more demanding environments.

TEC Security install the FAAC B614, a modern and reliable automatic barrier designed for a wide range of applications, from residential to commercial use. Built using high-quality components, the B614 delivers robust performance with smooth and controlled boom movement. 

The system features dedicated, intuitive electronics housed in the upper section of the cabinet, with clear LED visibility and simple programming via onboard buttons and display. A wide choice of operating modes is available, with integrated OMNIDEC radio decoding and BUS 2Easy technology allowing quick and straightforward connection of accessories. 

Safety is ensured through a 24V motor with an integrated encoder that provides precise motion control and automatic reversal when an obstacle is detected, meeting anti-crushing safety requirements. 

A complete range of accessories is available, including beam lighting, traffic light kits, hedge kits, and beam support options. Beams are supplied with rubber anti-impact profiles and optional reflective strips or LED lighting to improve visibility in low-light environments.

Ditec QIK Automatic Barrier System

Ditec QIK is a durable, high-performance automatic barrier system, fully compliant with European safety directives and tested for over 1 million cycles. With opening speeds of up to 2 seconds (to 90°), it’s suitable for both high-traffic commercial sites and public access areas. Available in 230 V AC and 24 V DC versions, it covers clear widths of up to 7.6m.

The 24 V DC models include an encoder system that enables precise speed control, impact force adjustment, and obstacle detection for safe and smooth operation. Designed for long-term reliability, QIK features stainless steel rivets, a welded-free structure, and a die-cast aluminium reduction unit for easy installation and maintenance.

QIK integrates easily with various access systems, including keypads, remote controls, transponders, and coin-based or magnetic loop systems — ideal for hotels, retail parks, restaurants, and sports facilities. It ensures quick, secure, and user-friendly access control for both permanent users and temporary visitors.

KINGgates Open Automatic Barriers

KINGgates OPEN is a robust barrier automation system designed for managing vehicle access with bar lengths of up to 4m and 6m. Built for residential, commercial, or underground applications, it offers reliable performance in high-traffic areas where durability and safety are essential.

The system includes anti-crush protection during both opening and closing, with a secure manual release and a metal-protected control unit accessible only by custom key. A backup battery kit is available as an optional accessory, ensuring continued operation during power outages.

KINGgates OPEN can be paired with a wide range of smart accessories. Extensible aluminium bars use reinforced joints for easy transport and setup, while optional angled joints allow installation in areas with limited ceiling height. Integrated LED lights clearly indicate barrier status, improving visibility and safety in all conditions.

PAL GSM Long Range RFID Reader System: The PAL GSM system is a long-range RFID integrated reader that is an ideal all-in-one device for applications such as intelligent parking management and access control. This system includes a web interface that makes install and system control simple. The RFID operates at a frequency range of 840-960 MHz with a range of RF power of 10 to 27dBm which can be adjusted remotely. There are an unlimited number of authorized users using the RFID tags and users can be grouped for access control by time, days and dates. An internal historical log records at least 10000 tag numbers.

EVOLOOP Wireless Vehicle Detector: EVOLOOP is an innovative wireless alternative to traditional induction loops and photocells, offering a faster and less disruptive installation using smart radar technology. With a wide 140° detection field, it allows up to three configurable virtual loops and can control barrier operation, trigger ticketing systems, support licence plate recognition, and protect vehicles and pedestrians in line with EN 12453 Type D safety standards. The plug-and-go design removes the need for roadworks, with adjustable loop types, target classification, and direction sensing to filter cross-traffic. Suitable for all barrier types and lengths, EVOLOOP delivers reliable performance in all weather conditions using MoWa FMCW radar technology to accurately detect and classify stationary or moving objects.
